Chapter 3: Gatekeeper / Dealer

 

Gatekeepers and Dealers can be turned on for companies that require  approval before an order is released to production. If a company is set as a Gatekeeper site then a gatekeeper is required to release or cancel orders every time an order is placed.

 

A Dealer is a second level Gatekeeper. If Dealer is enabled in the company settings then once a Gatekeeper has approved an order it will then remain "pending" in the order control centre until the dealer has released it into production.

 

If a company has gatekeeper enabled ALL orders for that company must be manually released before going to production A Gatekeeper / Dealer cannot place orders unless he has the customer role checked as well.
